-- New Campaign Donates Funds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation for Each Purchase of Northland Cranberry Juice--

Port Washington, NY, September 2007 -- The cranberry, one of nature’s smallest fruits, is about to play a significant role in helping to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer, one of women’s biggest health concerns.  This coming October, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Northland® Cranberries (www.northlandjuices.com) will be partnering with four supermarket chains throughout the country to donate funds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation™ (www.bcrfcure.org) in conjunction with each 64 ounce bottle of Northland 100% Juice Cranberry Blends purchased during a specific timeframe.  With their donation, Northland is giving health conscious cranberry juice consumers the opportunity to not only drink for their own health, but to help others through this special fundraising initiative as they “Drink to Pink.”

Through the "Drink to Pink" campaign, Northland has contributed nearly $200,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) -- an independent 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.  The mission of the BCRF is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and genetic research at leading medical centers worldwide, and to increase public awareness about good breast health. Since 2006,

“Northland has long been committed to women’s health and wellness, and through this campaign we are proud to be playing a role in the fight against this devastating disease,” says Brad Angevine, Vice President of Marketing.  “For years, people have come to recognize that drinking cranberry juice is good for their health, and now we’re happy to be able to tell people that, through this program, drinking cranberry juice can help in the fight against breast cancer.”

Participating retailers and promotion dates for the the "Drink to Pink" Program are: Price Chopper: October 7 - October 13; Jewel Osco: September 27 - October 3; Big Y World Class Market: October 4 - October 10; and Pathmark: October 5 – November 1.

"The Drink to Pink’ campaign is a great way for people to contribute to our mission of preventing and finding a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime," says Robbie Finke, Director of Marketing for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  "Northland shares our commitment to beating breast cancer, which affects so many women today. Through this program, Northland is giving consumers an easy way to support the most innovative breast cancer research that will save lives in the future."

About The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and genetic research.  The Foundation supports scientists at leading medical centers worldwide whose research is focused on achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime.  A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs.  BCRF is currently funding over 110 researchers across the U.S. and in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Israel. The Foundation has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, four stars, for five consecutive years, which means BCRF has outperformed over 98.7% of more than 5,000 evaluated charities in efficiently managing its finances.  For more information, visit www.bcrfcure.org or call 1.866.FIND.A.CURE.
